Heart Attack! McDonald’s Heart Tick Given The Flick
The moment the Heart Foundation accepted $330,000 a year from McDonald’s to put its Tick on food such as the Filet-O-Fish and chicken McNuggets, the program was doomed.
Last week The Heart Foundation severed ties with McDonald’s, a move that has been described as essential to maintain any shred of credibility.
It’s very unlikely that people were ever going to think of McDonald’s as a place you go for healthy food. Adding the Heart Foundation tick only confused everybody.
People aren’t stupid and this is why they don’t trust the heart Foundation Tick of Approval anymore.
