If you're a man over the age of 50, you probably have a prostate problem - usually a benign enlargment of the gland.
Herbal and nutritional therapies can help ease discomfort and even preclude or delay the need for conventional drugs or surgery.
What is it?
A study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute found an increased risk of prostate cancer among men with high blood concentrations of Omega-3 fatty acids.
The authors of the recent study jumped to the bold conclusion that their findings have “shown once again that the use of nutritional supplements may be harmful” and triggered major concern in the public. However, the trial has a number of methodological flaws that have misled the public about the risk of omega-3 consumption and prostate cancer.
The body of evidence still indicates that increased Omega 3 and lower saturated fats is beneficial for reducing the risk of cancer development.
